Using CritterKleen® Natural Skin Repair for regular grooming

Ruth has been using CritterKleen® Natural Skin Repair regularly over the last 6 months to clean the skin folds on her French Bulldog Fifi’s face. Her ears are also huge dust traps and get a regular clean with CritterKleen.

Ruth says:

“Fifi's folds and ears get a general clean once a week depending on what she's been up to.... snuffling her face in the sand at the beach generally ads up to an itchy irritation later in the day. She has never quite worked out the theory of cause and effect! It's all about enthusiasm for life. ;)

I use make up remover pads or a simple clean soft cloth dipped in the solution. I think she actually looks forward to it.”

Are you over-washing your dog? - Vets say ‘less is more’

Dirt and dust often gets trapped in the French Bulldog’s skin folds and ears.

If you have a healthy dog without a skin condition, you actually don’t have to wash or bathe your dog much at all. We understand that dogs can get up to all sorts of mischief which often results in muddy paws or a stinky coat. However, it’s not recommended to wash your dog with shampoo more that once a fortnight unless absolutely necessary. The washing process can strip your dogs coat from the natural oils which form a barrier to protect their skin. As a result the skin can get dry and irritated.

Instead of washing your pooch every time with water and shampoo, try our CritterKleen® Natural Skin Repair made from Kunzea hydrosol. It cleans the skin and removes scale and dandruff. It has a good hydrating effect, soothes irritation and improves skin resilience.

Thank you so much Ruth for your feedback and for sending those lovely photos through. Your dogs are absolutely gorgeous and we’re happy to hear you had good results using CritterKleen®.
